Magnalox is an interesting application that allows users to animate their GPS tracks on Google Maps.
After you add your GPS track to Magnalox you can visualise an animation of your journey on a Google Map with an accompanying elevation chart. Users can also enrich the animation with texts, photos, links and audio.
The animated map for each track comes with a number of playback controls so users can pause, fast forward and rewind the animation.
