Info Post

I love these. It's always fun to just sit and brainstorm about random movie questions. This one comes from @MovieNut14, aka Anna at Defiant Success. Check out her blog...not many people love movies—especially the classics—as much as she. Below are the questions for this meme and my answers. I'm not tagging anyone because most of the people I would have tagged have been already. But if you want to chime in on some of these questions, I'd love to hear what you think.

1.) Movie you love with a passion.
My all-time favorite—2001: A Space Odyssey

2.) Movie you vow to never watch.
I can be coerced into watching just about anything, but one movie I had to put my foot down on was Sex and the City 2. Before leaving college for the last time, all my friends decided to go see it together. I told them to have a nice life and stayed home.

3.) Movie that literally left you speechless.
Certified Copy. Just saw it last week, and it was sensational. Very thought-provoking.

4.) Movie you always recommend.
If you can enjoy WALL-E, then there's something wrong with you. Point blank.

5.) Actor/actress you always watch, no matter how crappy the movie.
Boy, I'm not sure there is one. There are some directors I'd see no matter how poorly reviewed the movie (Scorsese, Allen, The Coens), but I'm not sure there's an actor or actress. George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Matt Damon might be the closest because I think they make great choices.

6.) Actor/actress you don't get the appeal for.
Johnny Depp. The guy plays the same oddball character in every single movie.

7.) Actor/actress, living or dead, you'd love to meet.
Sidney Poitier probably has some amazing stories and a lot of wisdom to impart, but I'd say I'd most like to sit down and have a beer with Clooney or Meryl Streep.

8.) Sexiest actor/actress you've seen. (Picture required!)
All I'll say is Javier Bardem is a lucky guy.

9.) Dream cast.
Too much star power can be overkill. Let's say DiCaprio, Streep, Rachel McAdams, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Richard Jenkins, and Patricia Clarkson—a good mix of veterans, young talent, stars, and supporting players. Of course, it mostly depends on the movie.

10.) Favorite actor pairing.
Kristin Stewart and Robert Pattinson, of course! No, I'd probably say Bogart and Bacall.

11.) Favorite movie setting.
Something gritty and real. The French Connection is a favorite movie of mine, and I just love its setting—the New York nobody wants to see.

12.) Favorite decade for movies.
Of my 5 favorite movies, 4 come from the 60s (2001, Psycho, The Graduate, and Once upon a Time in the West), so I've gotta say that. Seventies would be a close second with The Godfather, Network, Deer Hunter, Star Wars, etc.

13.) Chick flick or action movie?
Action, definitely

14.) Hero, villain or anti-hero?
Anti-heroes are typically the most interesting.

15.) Black and white or color?
No preference at all, as long as it looks nice and serves the story well.
