Preco do Taxi is a nice Google Map that can help you calculate the cost of a taxi journey in Brazil.
To use the app you just need to enter your starting point and destination. If you know that a taxi driver usually takes a different route to the one shown on the map you can drag the route to reflect the usual journey.
The cost of a band 1 or band 2 taxi ride for the shown route is automatically displayed at the top of the map. There are also options to save a route and to share the route and calculated cost on Orkut, Facebook and Twitter.
