This was the week after getting back from Tasmania, and I couldn't wait to do my hair. I had some regrowth to attend to, plus going swimming had turned my hair a rather unflattering (and unwanted!) bright yellow. I was too tired to do it that night, so I just put some purple and pink through the ends instead, to counter at least some of that yellow. I really liked the soft pink it went.
I did not like having an allergic reaction to something (no, it's not the hair dye, I've been fine with that at other times... the research continues) that was so bad my right eye swelled up enough to affect my vision. For an idea of how it was, look up Bear Grylls and his reaction to a bee sting. After wolfing down all the antihistamine I could get my hands on and still walk, I had to style my hair over my right eye. Yes, it was that bad! Thankfully my eye did start to settle down pretty quickly. I hope, and I like to think, it was more alluringly Veronica Lake peek-a-boo than emo. Don't tell me I'm wrong.
I did like wearing my vintage sundress and vintage cardigan with my blue Gorman t-bar wooden sole platforms. I also liked how my perfume matched my dress and my nails so well. It was such a nice bit of early spring sunshine that afternoon.
