Info Post

If New York had won their bid to host this year's Olympics then the athletes would be sprinting in an Olympic Stadium overlooking either the Hudson River or Flushing Bay and the swimmers would be freestyling in a new aquatic center on the Williamsburg waterfront.

WNYC.org has created a Google Map of the proposed New York Olympic Venues, the stadia that would have been built had the Big Apple won the city’s bid to host this summer's Olympics. The map shows the venues that could have been, including a velodrome in the Bronx, and the venues that were actually realized, such as the Barclays Center, home of the Brooklyn Nets.

If you click on the markers of the venues on the map you can view images of what the location looks like now and what it would have looked like if New York had beaten London in its bid to host the XXX Summer Olympiad
