Guess what I did yesterday? I actually rode my bike! It had been a while but finally we had a perfect cold sunny day – I love riding in this kind of weather. Because Melbourne is completely unpredictable when it comes to weather, I decided to wear trouser-pants (I can't say "I decided to wear pants". I just can't. I'm British!) (and trouser-pants sounds perfectly normal) and plenty of layers to keep warm. The trousers, wool jumper, vintage Pierre Cardin scarf are op shopped, the brooch is vintage, the green knitted vest is from Dotti all those years ago (!!!) and the belt came with a skirt I got from asos a few months ago. There were also burnt orange socks and vintage tan mid heel shoes but you'll just have to take my word for it.
This green knitted vest is something I've had for years and years. I've mentioned it before but I do love that when it comes to clothing; having something for years and years and it is still to your taste, even if those tastes have, overall, changed. p/ >
I am happy to report that the bike riding went very well! I absolutely loved it. Of course there were vintage gloves (tan, I was very matchy matchy!), a big vintage coat and my ugly and obviously not vintage bike helmet worn as well, but sailing along in the sunshine is the best thing. I have got to do that more often!
Oh, and why am I making faces to the wall in these pictures..? Because someone was watching me, waiting for pats!
